Thai Nghiep Ky Mi Gia
Located at 1427 Noriega St, San Francisco, CA, Thai Nghiep Ky Mi Gia is a beloved spot that serves authentic Thai comfort food, known for its flavorful soups and tender meats. This cozy eatery has become a go-to destination, especially among locals who crave delicious, hearty meals. Its popularity is evident, often packed with customers even during weekday lunches.
The highlight of the menu is their duck soup, served with wide Ho Fun noodles, where the meat falls off the bone as soon as you touch it. For just $14.50, diners can enjoy a satisfying bowl of this rich, savory soup, with hoisin and sriracha on the side to customize the seasoning. The dish is not only flavorful but also well-loved for its generous portion and the tenderness of the duck.
Another favorite is the dry noodles, which are served with duck, a perfect combination for those who prefer a lighter soup base. The dry noodle option is especially great for those who want more control over the soup-to-noodle ratio, making it a versatile choice. The duck is moist and juicy, providing a perfect source of protein. For those who prefer a complete meal, the soup on the side is also a great addition, making for an enjoyable, flexible dining experience.

The availability of hot soy milk further adds to the cozy atmosphere, making it a perfect place for a comforting brunch or lunch with friends and family.
Thai Nghiep Ky Mi Gia Reviews
Always a favorite for a comfort meal. I love the dry noodles and my husband likes the soup version. Their duck is super moist and great as a side addition for extra protein. They usually have hot soy milk available. Super delicious. Highly recommend.
A solid brunch place, went around Saturday 11:15am and there was no line. Best to go with smaller groups since the tables aren't too large. Order menu #3 (duck with egg noodles in soup) and #7 (duck with wonton and egg noodles with soup on the side). Each item ranges from $14 - $16. I think most customers order the soup on the side, which allows for variety in eating styles, able to dip the noodles or no soup at all. The duck was very tender and had great flavor. The soup was also delicious, not too salty and flavorful. Simple dish that you can't go wrong with. Overall, great food for all meals.
Came back for a late lunch at 1pm with a party of 4 on a Saturday; it was busy but there was a table available within 10 minutes luckily. Just what we needed on a chilly and foggy SF day, we all ordered our usual noodle dishes; the food comes out relatively quickly and you can sip your fresh complimentary soymilk as you wait :) Nghiep Ky Won Tong Ho Fun & Egg Noodle Soup: I alternate between this and the braised duck leg noodles, but I like this one because it has a bit of everything, so you can switch it up as you eat. Everything comes out piping hot, and it's just so comforting to sip a little broth, have a bit of noodle, wonton and different types of protein, and then add a bit of chili and vinegar as you go to keep it fresh. Spring rolls: we decided to get this to share; nice and light crispy wrapper around the dense meat filling, this was a good appetizier to start off with. Thai Nghiep Ky Mi Gia continues to be an affordable comfort meal of noodles that can't be beat.
- warm hearty soup in the center of sunset - clean soup with good amount of toppings - noodles are chewy - attentive, welcoming and helpful staff - food is easy and reminds me of my childhood - fried fish cakes - hot soy milk - thick noodles is a must (for me) - enjoy!
Went for the first time based on Yelp reviews. It was fantastic! Packed with Asians only for a Monday lunch. Duck soup with wide noodles (Ho fun) was delicious. Served as a whole duck thigh and leg in soup, but as soon as I touch it, the meat falls off the bone! $14.50 for a bowl of that sweet sweet stuff! Hoisin and sriracha at the table to season to your preference. It's now my favorite soup place. Right next door to Patelco; very convenient if you bank there!
